OUR SNACK GRILLO AL MIRTILLO FLOATING IN THE ISS CUPOLA!

That’s what happens when INNOVATION is one of your core values!

When ESA Astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti challenged us to include insects in her bonus food recipes, we were a bit sceptical – not our first choice as a gourmet ingredient, after losing quite a few packages of flour and Venere rice to meal worms…

But we were also sceptical if we could develop something truly satisfactory in the 8-month time frame that was given to us to deliver all the bonus food – in the middle of the pandemics and without knowing the ingredients and all the norms for both Europe and the US.

But once explorers, always explorers!

Like in the outdoors, we took one step at a time, tested the ground, backed out, and teamed up with strong rope mates.

We are proud of what we learned and of what we achieved – and got a little emotional seeing our Grillo al Mirtillo floating in the ISS Cupola and Astrosamantha enjoying it!
