ITALIAN EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL launched to SPACE for science with our treats
We are utterly proud of having worked within such a cluster of excellence to make this happen!
Each of our 4 main space meals has been best matched to a specific type of Italian extra virgin olive oil by Unaprol’s director general and professional oil taster Nicola Di Noia
Our Chef Stefano Polato personally applied the leashes for the bottle caps so they’d be tethered to the bottles while adding a few drops to the selected treat and he supervised the bottling of the four Cultivars: Coratina, Moraiolo, Itrana and Caroleia.
Our Founder Sara Rocci Denis took care of the space-flight-compliant packaging that wraps the bottles during transport – to and from space since as part of a dedicated experiment by CREA and Telespazio, a few samples will be returned to Earth for detailed analysis of the oil properties.
